It has been a great year, I must say. We have decided to stay in our house for another year or so. We took it off the market in the early summer (we couldn't sell it). So I have decided to embrace the neighborhood, realize the blessings and I am content. I really can't complain, I have great neighbors, my kids are happy and healthy, our house is in good shape, and I am able to be home now. What is there to complain about, really?
Elsa and Livy started 3rd grade and kindergarten. They are really enjoying it. I teach art in Elsa's class every other week and I help in Livy's class every tuesday. I love being able to observe them with their peers.
I was released from the RS pres and am now serving the YW. First time being in YW since I was a YW, so it has been alot of fun.
Thanksgiving was great. We spent it up in Hyrum with Micah's family and everything was delicious. I have surprising enjoyed the brussel sprouts each year.
For the first time, I was a die hard black friday gal. My friend and I went out at 9:30 thurs night, hit a few stores, then went to IHOP for a break, which was crazy busy at 2;30 in the morning!!??? Then hit several more stores and finished up at 6:30 am!!! Yes, I was crazy! I could't really sleep friday, cuz Micah ended up working and so I had to be with kids. I got a couple hours of sleep. I don't think I have pulled an "all nighter" since I was in college! Needless to say, I went to bed at 6:30 pm and woke up at about 8:00 in morning. Im sure I could have slept in longer if the kids weren't there.
The Holidays are now here and Micah is working like a dog! He is out every night til about 9:30-10:00 pm. This year, with the boost in sales has given UPS an obscene amount of work. There is just too much! He will normally have around 60-70 stops in a day, but during the holidays, he is having as much as 270 stops!! He is such a hardworker and never complains.
During this time of year, I truly count my blessings. I am greatful every day for what I have. Merry Christmas!!

Another eventful month has come along. First of all, I can't believe this weather! It is nearly June, and I am still running my heater! I want to pull out the tank tops (kids, not mine) shorts and flip flops (Hillie calls them low-bots). Enough already, really.

A couple of weeks ago I found out that my only living grandparent (my dad's mom) past away at 90 years old. It wasnt too difficult for me, seeing how I have talked and seen her twice in the past 18 years. She was a very angry person and so I hope she has found some peace now. My parents invited Ian and I to drive down with them to Southern California to attend the funneral, which just happened to be mother's day. I had difficulties in trying to arrange child care (Micah works nights) so I brought Elsa and Livy along to make it a little easier for Micah and myself. We stopped in Las Vegas and picked up our eldest sister Tammie and we were off. It was great to see our extended family (its been a long time). All of my brothers came (no spouses) and that too was great to all be together as siblings. It was Mother's day when we arrived in California and my dad took us all out to eat to this place called, "King's Hawaiian" It was so good and fun to try something different. During the whole trip I was pleased with how well behaved Elsa and Livy were. They were the only children around and they were so good, I know there presence was appreciated for alot of people who were there, myself included.

A few days after we got back from CA, it was Ilene's wedding day. It was very small and casual and very "low key" She asked the nieces to be flower girls and they were very excited for the job. I am glad she has found someone who will make her happy.

My older brother Josh and his wife Sarah and their two children came from Reno to come to the wedding. They also wanted to bless their 3 month old daughter, Hope. On Sunday we had the blessing at my home and a luncheon immediately after. I like being able to host these kind of family events but for me personally, it wears me out. Josh and his family planned to leave Monday morning, but decided that we should do one last outing and so we went with the kids to the Living aquarium. Reno has nothing that is kid friendly and so I knew that they would enjoy it. Unfortunately we came at the exact moment that 5 school buses pulled up and apparently, it was 3 school's field trip! That was exhausting trying to speak over all those kids not to mention, trying to keep track of my own in the sea of children.

So yes, a funneral, wedding, and baby blessing within 1 week.

For the best news...Micah started his new job this week!!! I am now a stay-at-home mom! I can't believe it, It has been so nice to finally spend the time that I want with my kids and to have Micah home every night has been awesome. He has been in training all week and goes out on the road Monday. I know he will do great. I feel that we are so blessed in our lives. Micah and I count our blessing every day for the marriage that we have and our sweet little children who are so amazing. I could't have picked a better life for myself.

Well, its been a while. I find it difficult to update my blog when I have a lot going on. We celebrated a baptism, two birthdays, a wedding, and job change these past few months.

Elsa turned 8 this year. I took her up to the Oquirrh Temple before the big day and took some photos. It was really special to see her get into the font and have Micah baptize and confirm her. I am so greatful that Micah was worthy to perform such ordinances. Once she came out of the water and I was helping her get dressed, I had a chance to really talk to her and bare my testimony to her. I will always treasure that moment I had with her. It was also wonderful to have the support of our family and friends.

We also celebrated Elsa (of course) and my birthday. For Elsa's birthday I told her that instead of a party, we would take her out on a date with just mom and dad. She really liked the idea, so we went to the Cracker Barrel (her fav) and then went to Fat Cats for bowling. She really enjoyed having our focus on her for one night. As for me, Micah and I went out with our friends to Goodwood BBQ and just had a great time and alot of laughs.
As the years go by, I loose track of how old I am getting. I was looking through my moms planner just before my birthday and my mom had written 33 on my birthday. I told her she was wrong and that I was turning 32. She looked at me shockingly and argued, that, No, you will be 33!! I feel that Im not getting older, only my kids are.

Micah's little brother Tappan was married last week. It was so much fun to have all the kids (siblings, and their kids) together. Micah and all the brothers went out the night before and they closed the resturant down. He really enjoyed having that time with them. As for me, I stayed in that night to help Brecken put the wedding cake together. There is nothing that girl CANT do. She amazes me. Connie and Katie made the little girls dresses, and everything went really well. They immediately hopped on a plane and are now current residents of Hawaii (yea, sucks for them).

I am also getting ready for another wedding of my baby sister, Ilene, who will be getting married next month. Its been really great to help her prepare for it.

And finally, after nearly 11 years, I quit my job to move to another Dentist office (part time, of course). It has been challanging to be the "new girl", but I know that it the best thing I can do right now for my family and I am sure that as time goes by it will get better. I have no regrets. It was sad to leave those girls that I have known for so long. They had a very nice farewell lunch planned for me and they even gave me a really nice farewell gift.

The house is still for sale, we are having a few more showing (which is good). Micah's name is still on the list for driving truck at UPS, we are hoping it will be within the next couple months. We litterally don't know what to expect this year, but we do know that whatever happens, we will be happy.

Our christmas was great. I think the kids had quite the christmas. I was really excited for them, the little girls got a Barbie dollhouse, that in my opinion, is the COOLEST thing ever! I always wanted one when I was younger and was so glad that Santa thought of it. Santa also suprised us with a Wii. I haven't really ever wanted one, I am not a "gamer" and I don't want my kids to be either, and not to mention, the games are soo expensive. But It has actually been a lot of fun for the kids. Micah is also enjoying it. I guess we don't buy things that make us happy, its what makes our kids happy (in moderation, of course).

It was a bit rugged for me on christmas, I was pretty sick and we had to make several stops that day, needless to say I was exhausted. My parents got the kids "pillow pets" which I was really excited about. They have been wanting them for so long so it was a nice surpise for them. They also got Micah a superman snuggie. We didn't get to spend much time with my siblings, the past several years, since we are all so scattered haven't been as great as they could be, but its to be expected when you start to have your own families and priorities. We spent a bit of time with Micah's family and it was great to visit and have all the cousins together. They really are best friends. Micah's parents built and gave quilting racks for the girls in the family. I can't wait to get started...tie quilts that is. I have to set my goals small with something like that.

I cant believe another year has come and gone. I am looking forward to what 2011 will bring. I am hoping for alot of change this year. We are excited to settle into our new home and new jobs and plan on just enjoying being with our children. We feel that our family is complete and are excited to spend quality time together.

I feel like there is so much stuff "pending" in my life. We are anxious to move into a new home, but cannot seem to sell the one we are currently in. I know that its a slow time right now, and that is fine, but it is hard to try and make plans until we know that our house is sold. Since we have listed our home we had three other homes within FEET of us, list as well. I hope it doesn't hinder our situation.

We also have been waiting for a driver position to open up for Micah at UPS so that he can be on "days" and I can finally stay home with the kids, and have Micah on a regular sleep schedule. We never thought we would be waiting this long. It has been a little frustrating at times that we are continually waiting, but what more can we do?

Also, there has been talk with my current employers along with a potentially new employer to have me work from home doing billing, insurances and collections. I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom, but stepping out of the workforce is a little bit unnerving. So this opportunity just might be the "fit" for me. Although now, I have to consider who I will work for? Do I work for a new employer who will pay me quite a bit more? Or, do I work for the same guys I have worked for for over 10 years and who I have built a strong work relationship with?

Its funny, you think that once you get married, have children and husband graduating college, then you have set your place in life, no more "worries", but in fact, it is constantly changing and you are constantly adapting. But honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so happy with my life. I am so blessed to have a loving husband who works hard and does all he can to make my life and our children's lives happy and easy. I am greatful for wonderful children who teach me so much about myself and the kind of person I want to be. I am greatful we have stable jobs and for such a wonderful home. It may not be our "dream house" but it is our "dream home". And I know that I owe it all to my Father in Heaven. I know that he loves me, because I see it in the blessing I have. It gives me such strength to know I am a daughter or God.

Home For Sale

Our house is on the market! Micah and I have decided that it was time to move. It actually started about a year ago when Micah and I were trying to refinance the house. After several attempts and 2 appraisals later, we found that it was not possible to refinance. Last month when we learned that our most recent attempt had failed, we then decided to consider selling the home. WIth alot of prayer and fasting, we decided that it was time to move on.

I have loved our home. We have lived in it for almost 5 years. Its where we raised our kids. For the younger three, its the only home they have ever known. We have enjoyed and have so many great memories. It will be sad when we have to eventually pack it up and say good bye, but for Micah and I, we always knew this was temporary, and that we had one more move in us.

In looking for another home, I think we will still consider the South West side of SL valley, but we will be looking for the "final" home. The one that we will live in for the remainder of our lives (hopefully). We are excited to see where we end up and fortunately, the kids are still very young that moving, will not disrupt their life too much. Elsa is our only child in school, and her only request is that she finish out the school year with her class.

I just hope that it sells quickly, smoothly and easily. I don't think that is asking too much?

Fall Fun

October is always one of my favorite months. Micah and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary on the 9th. I have several family member birthdays including my sweet little Livy, who turned 5 on the 24th.

I also really enjoy General Conference. We went up to Logan to watch it with Micah's family and we had our annual fall picnic where Micah's mom makes amazing buffalo wings. Its the only time I ever eat wings.

We came back up to Logan last weekend again to go to the "Pumpkin Walk" It was fun for the first 20 min. and then the rain came!! We went back to the house and carved pumpkins and had made-from-sratch dounuts. So good!

Last night of course, we got together with Brecken and her kids and hit the streets. It rained, of course, but that didn't stop us! They came back with quite the "loot". I love celebrating these "kid" holidays. It is so fun to relive it through them. We do the best we can to create these fun memories for our kids.

So, I got a little backed up on updating my blog, and for some reason when I upload the pics, the end up all out of order. I dont really have the time to label and put them all in order so I will just explain them all.
Over labor day Micah and I took the kids along with my little brother Ian and his brood to Yellowstone with my parents. It was alot of fun (as usual) although I must admit, being a parent and taking little kids on vacation is really no vacation for the parents. I was probably more exhausted when I came home than I am just at the end of any regular day. Its alright though, we do it "for the kids" right? It ended up snowing the second day we were there, that was strange. It even stuck to the ground for a while.
Earlier in the summer we had my brother, Travis and his kids come over from Pittsburgh and so my mom wanted to get some family photos done. That was pretty hectic, but I thought they turned out great.
Nixon starting walking this past month, although he isn't really that into it, he just does it when he is "in the mood". I really enjoy watching how the girls interact with him. He can do no wrong. they just think the world of him and always want to make him happy and laugh. I think he will be well taken care of. Hehe.
I also have a pic in there of me at work with my ladies. One of the girls ( blonde, in the middle) was quiting. I have worked with her for over 6 years and it was really sad to see her go.
Last weekend we went up with the Wybrows to Ocktoberfest, we go up every september and have alot of fun. No chicken dance this year, which was a little upsetting to Livy, but...there is always next year.
Elsa is really blossoming in second grade. She has a great teacher and is making alot of friends. Livy and Hillie are enjoying making a mess and tattleing on each other, which in turn, has been alot of fun for me. I hope they will soon grow out of it.
Other than all that, it has been a great couple months.

Summer just went too fast this year. It was the first summer Micah didn't have school and so we enjoyed every minute and found all kinds of fun activities we could do as a family.
Micah has put his name in to become a UPS driver and we have been waiting for a spot to open since the end of June. Once he starts driving, I can finally quit my job and become a full time mom! I have been waiting for this opportunity for years and now that it is just on the horizon, I am getting quite anxious. It will be so nice to have Micah home at night and for me to be able to spend more time with the kids. Micah has been such a great dad while I work. He does alot to help with the daily household chores. I will miss that when he does start working days, but I am completely ready for it. I know there is nothing more important than being home and being there for my kids. so I welcome the change with open arms.
Elsa started school this week and she has mastered the skill of riding her bike! So every chance I get, we are going on bike rides together and riding our bikes to school. It has been so neat to see her grow up and become a responsible and caring kid!
We had a great run this summer, and now are reluctantly looking forward to the fall and eventually....Winter. Just think positive, right?

July has been a great month. We started off the month by going up to Logan for the fourth and all their festivities. We always enjoy the fireworks and the Cruise in. A week after that, my brother Travis who lives in Pittsburgh, brought his family here to babtize their oldest daughter Sophie. It has been a couple of years since we have seen them, so it was great to hang out with them and get to know them again. Since we had the families together we did family pictures and spent time with the kids at the Discovery Gateway.
We decided that since my family was in town, that we would celebrate Hillie and Nixons birthdays. It is always so much fun to see them try and eat their birthday cake at 1 yr old.
My high school friend was in town and so we took our families to the swimming pool. It was really nice to spend time with her again. I love that we can go almost a year without speaking and be able to pick up right where we left off.
Micah has had it with our swamp cooler and we have had a couple of bids for central air. I cant believe how pricey it is, but we know it will be worth it. So we just need to decide on when we want to do it. Apparently the rebates are only good up until the end of the year.
We have really tried to make this summer fun and memorable for the kids. We have taken them swimming alot, got a trampoline, and just the other night we took them to a drive in movie. It was so much fun. It makes me so happy to be able to do these things for them and see how happy they are.
I am still running as much as I can, but I cannot stand running when it is warm, so I have been going out as early as 6 in the morning to beat the heat. I have to admit, I still dont LOVE it, but I have been doing it for so long now and have built up alot of endurance that I dont want to let that go. Plus, its good excersise.

I know Hillie and Nixon's birthday is not for another month, but I know July will be pretty hectic so I went ahead and got it done a little early. I doubt they will change a whole lot in a month. It is so wierd to see them at one and three. There are growing so fast...Thats all I can say. So cute too.

I can't believe May is almost over! What a great month! Micah graduated from College!!!!! It was so awesome to see him get to walk across that stage and accept his degree. I am so proud of him. It took a long time but it was definatly worth it.
We drove to Disneyland the next day and spend three days there. My brother Sean surpised us on the second day and it was really great to see him spend time with the girls. The last day we were there, there was a bomb scare and they evacuated us all out of tomorrowland. It was a bit unnerving but it appeared as if they had it all under control. The kids had so much fun and every night they still wanted to go swimming. I couldn't believe it. Livy was able to meet the princesses and they were so cute. We were able to take Elsa on all the big rides and she really enjoyed Space Mountain and the Matterhorn. The Hollywood Hotel Terror ride, not so much.
After Disneyland we drove to San Diego and went to the Zoo. I couldn't belive how big it was and how much up hill walking there was. Elsa had darted ahead of me as we were walked and when I yelled out her name a woman turned around and said that was her name too. She and I were both surprised to see that someone else shared that name. Elsa thought that was really neat.
We then went to the beach and relaxed. The sky was a bit overcast but it was still warm. Elsa had fun building a sand castle while the other girls managed to get sand everywhere! My brother Ian and his wife and their little girl joined us for the trip and Ian had a friend who lived in San Diego so he came by at the beach and brought his wet suits and surf boards and Micah gave a go at it. HE did really good considering it was his first time.
It was a great trip, not too long but not too short. We were glad to be home. It really made me appreaciate where I live. I love to visit, but Utah is my home and I am happy about that.

This last month has been quite busy. Elsa has started up soccer again, she is a "black widow". She really enjoys playing, even though she hangs back alot and just runs with the crowd.
Livy has been going to play groups with kids in our ward and has boycotted any house that has a dog. Which is about 1/2 of the group.
We have started the potty training with Hillie and she is doing really good, she won't go #2 yet, but we are working on it. I decided am not going to stress about it like I did with Livy. She can stay in pullups for however long she wants. I really dont care.
Nixon has started crawling, pulling himself up and has cut his upper teeth. He has become quite the little "thumb sucker" and right now, its just too cute that I am not really trying to make him quite.
Micah is getting ready for graduation next week. We are so excited and proud of his accomplishment. I will be sitting with all the kids as close to the front I can get so we can all cheer him on as he takes the walk.
I have started running recently and have been really enjoying it. I didn't think I would like it as much as do. Today, Micah's sister, Brecken and her husband Phil and I did a 5k for the SL running co. It was rainy but alot of fun. I am signed up for the UT valley marathon ( I will be doing a 5k) in June and look forward to training and eventually trying a 10k. I am not sure if I would want to ever do a marathon, but who knows, I didn't think I would ever run for leisure either.
We are gearing the kids up for our family vacation in Disneyland next week. I am so excited to go and take the kids and just have fun. We have been anticipating this trip for a few years now and its finally come. We were hoping to have it be a McNeal family reunion but unfortunatly the whole clan, except my brother Ian and his family wont be able to come. I just hope the weather is good for us.

It has been a busy few weeks. Micahs little brother, Ethem, came home from his mission in Mexico. It was really exciting to see him again, he is so tan. He was in shock by how pasty white we all were, and by how many caucasions there are.

My new work schedule is awesome. I really enjoy having Thurs and fridays off to catch up with housework and spending time with the family. I have even started baking my own bread each week for the kids.

Elsa celebrated her 7th birthday last week and only half of the kids we invited came. I think that is partly because she has been off track and I had to send the invites out two weeks early and I think the parents or the kids might have forgot. It was alot of fun. They played alot of games and it was great to see Elsa in a social setting.

Nixon is getting so big. He started sitting up this past month and a couple days ago, he finally cut not one, but both teeth on the bottom. The girls are so loving and protective of Nixon, the other day we were at my friends house and she has a little dog. When the dog approached Nixon, Hillie started to yell at her, telling her to "Get away from my baby budder!" Then she would put her arm around Nixon and say "its okay, Ni-den, its okay." I really enjoy watching the kids interact with each other. They are such good kids.

So far 2010 has been great. We rang in the new year at Oma and Opa's. We had a big fire outside and Opa toted the kids around on sleds attached to the back of his 4 wheeler. We played BINGO and everyone won some great prizes.

My work week has now changed to mon-wed with thurs and fri off. Its weird to be home during the day, with Micah. I am definately not complaining.

Nixon is almost six months. No teeth yet, but he is trying his hardest to sit up. He also has discovered his thumb and has found comfort in that. Its really cute now, but I worry about it being a problem in the future.

I have had torn emotions about my little man. I am feeling guilty and a little sad that he is growing so fast and I am missing it because I cannot devote as much time as I would like into playing with him. I am pretty sure he is my last and so I am trying to savor each moment, but it is difficult. He is such a good baby.

Elsa will be going off track in week and I am excited to be planning her first birthday party (Feb 2) with friends. I have only done family before. We'll see how it goes.

I enjoyed a great lunch today with my sisters. We try to make a monthly date, so far so good.

I have taken up running these past couple months and it has been a slow but steady start. I am really enjoying it, surprisingly. I hope to be able to complete a 5k in the spring. I am determined to stick with it.

Another Christmas come and gone. I hosted the "Christmas dinner" at my house Christmas eve. I had a full house. 10 adults and 8 kids. It made for an event filled night. I was exhausted by the time everyone left, yet I still had alot more work to do. In the morning we made the girls wait in the stairway until it was time for christmas to start. IT was a great christmas morning. Santa left us a very nice thank you note and he had given Livy an amazing Princess vanity, Elsa got a very cool "Bat Cave", Hillie a barbie that came with a bike, and Nixon got a winter outfit. Santa also brought Micah an air compressor and I got a long awaited Kitchen aid mixer (yellow). It has been nice having Micah take a week of vacation at work. He has been very helpful in taking care of the kids and getting things done around the house while I still have to go to work. We are excited to be going up to Logan this weekend to ring in the new year with family.

I have so much to be greatful for this past year. I am greatful everyday for a wonderful husband and 4 happy and healthy kids. Last week Micah completed is final class of his college career. I am so proud of him. After ten years of marriage, 4 moves, and 4 kids later, he did it. I am so impressed by his dedication and determination. He has juggled so much more than most college students and he still managed to get good grades. I don't think I could have been able to stick to it the way he has.

So now we can sit back, take a deep breath and enjoy the holidays with family. It will be wierd to not have to worry about starting back into school next month and dealing with all that comes with school, finals, projects, commuting, etc.

We are looking forward to the upcoming year and hope everyone has a merry christmas!

Festival of the Trees

Each of us took a picture next to our favorite tree. Also the Gingerbread houses were amazing. We especially loved the "Christmas Story" house and the "Up" house.
Christmas with the kids is so much fun. we enjoy it more and more each year. The girls eagerly anticipate all the festivities.

Disney Princesses on Ice

Last night we were able to go see the Disney Princesses on ice. It was Micah's birthday and so I had asked him if he REALLY would want to go and do this on his birthday. He was more than willing to go. He was just looking forward to spending time with the family. He is such a great dad, so we went. It was so much fun going there. There were all these little girls wearing their princess gowns and plenty of over priced princess souveniers. I have never been to one of these before, I was really excited.
It was so much fun. I felt like a little girl again. I found myself in awe of their costumes and the bright colors. The skating alone was so great to watch. The kids kept their eyes glued to the ice. They didn't want the show to end, they are already asking me when they can go again.

Wow, October came and went so fast. Micah and I celebrated our 10year wedding anniversary. We went out to dinner with Nixon. The girls were at their aunts houses for a sleep over. I can't believe we have been married 10 years. It certainly does't seem like it.

Livy turned 4 on the 24th and we celebrated by carving pumpkins and eating cake and donuts at Oma and Opa's. We always go to the "Pumpkin Walk" in North Logan and the girls and their cousins had a great time.

Halloween was a blast. Our neice and nephews came trick or treating with us and the weather was great. Hillie was an elephant and it was hilarious to watch her walk-even better, was to see her run from the behind because she had quite a bit of "junk in her trunk".

It has been a busy time. It seems I have a ton of things to do and never enough time to do it. I am looking forward to the holidays but also look forward to the holidays ending.

I am so excited. My awsome friend Michelle took some new pics of the family last week and I just got the disc today. She did such a great job. I was a little unsure about having them done because I didn't get my hair cut before hand like I had wanted to and I still have a few extra baby pounds on me. The day before the pics Livy and Hillie got their hair covered in Ucerin lotion (which is basically clear crisco!). I didn't think I could get it all out before the big day, but I got a great tip to try baking soda in their hair and Voila! It came out, Whew. I realized that I hadn't had pictures done of Nixon in his blessing outfit and worried that he would soon out grow it, so I went to the Target studio and had pictures done, last minute. It wasn't a pleasant experience, but I was glad to get the shots that I have. It is crazy to see such similarities with Nixon and Livy. I could put a dress on Nixon at this point and I don't know if you could tell the difference. I will try and post some "side by sides", you will see. I love my little boy!

It was an eventful weekend! We spent saturday with the Wybrow's up at Oktoberfest. The kids danced the "Chicken Dance" with Oma and we ate alot of bratwurst with saurkraut. Its an annual tradition and we have so much fun.
Sunday we had the blessing. Micah's mom made a very beautiful blessing outfit for Nixon and we had alot of family and friends come and support us. I am truly blessed to have such a great husband and children. I am so thankful everyday for what I have.

Yellowstone

My parents invited Micah and I and the kids to Yellowstone for the weekend. The girls absolutely loved getting away and especially swimming any time they wanted. The weather was perfect. I don't know what it is though, every time I go to Yellowstone, I get sunburned so easily and quickly, maybe its because we are higher in elevation and so we are closer to the sun? Anyway, it was alot of fun and when the kids have a great time and don't want to leave, then I know it was well worth it.

August came and went

As expected, August came and went too fast. It was a great month. We welcomed another niece to the Wybrow family, Jette. She is so sweet, as most girls are when they are born. And we are really happy for Hart and Katie.
Nixon, is starting to outgrow that "newborn" phase. He has mellowed out a bit and is now smiling. I constantly have to defend him from his overly-loving sisters or else I am sure something horrible will happen.
Micah started is FINAL semester at the U of U. He only has one class and it is an internship at an elderly home in West Jordan. It should be a easy semester for him.
I am going back to work in 2 weeks, and not looking forward to it. I love the girls I work with, but home is where I prefer to be. I have really enjoyed this time off, it has given me more time to focus on my family and my home. Maybe someday in the near future being a "stay at home mom" will be an option for me.

After months of contemplation I decided it was time to cut Elsa's hair. Micah didn't like the sound of it, Elsa really doesn't care and I was done with trying to comb, wash, and style it. So today we took the plunge! Our neighbor cut for us. She was talking to me while she was cutting, and honestly, I don't know what she said, I just nodded, "uh-huh." I couldn't believe what had just happened! It was all gone, just like that!
I decided to donate it to "Locks of Love" and explained to Elsa what that meant. She was pretty excited about it. The shock hasn't quite worn off yet for Micah and I. Especially Micah. I just have to keep reminding him (and myself) "it will grow back."

Wow, I can hardly believe it. Elsa starting first grade. She has been so excited to start school, and I am happy that we actually got the track that we requested. She has a couple of friends from the ward in her class and so I think that was a comfort to her. She was pretty happy about being able to eat lunch at school too.
Elsa is such a great kid. I never worry about her, she is very responsible and always helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better daughter. I am so proud of her and I know that she will have a great time in school and make lots of friends.

Little Nixon is changing almost daily. Lately he has required a bit more attention than my girls did at this age. I wonder if it is a boy thing. He doesn't like to be left alone for too long. He has already gained a good pound and has still managed to hang on to his hair (I am sure it will be gone in the next month or two)It is still wierd knowing that we have a boy. Every time I change his clothes (or his diaper) I think to myself, "I have a son?!"
We recieved his SS card in the mail and got his birth certifcate. It is always neat and strange to see their name on a legal document. Its like they "exsist" and they are real people.

I can barely catch my breath these days. I have been really fortunate to have great Sis-in-laws. Micah's sister took the older girls for a sleep over last week and they played with their cousins. They loved it! Then at the persistance of my brother Josh's wife, Sarah, she came out on Sat. and left tues evening. Which worked out great because I developed mastitis and have been in bed sick, and in pain for the past 2-3 days. She was great, she did everything from playing with the girls, to cooking, cleaning, and changing diapers. It was such a relief and a blessing. My other brother, Ian's wife, Raylyn has offered to come this week and help as well. Even my parents came yesterday and took the girls out to give me a chance to sleep and catch up on other things.
It has been a humbling experience for me, because normally I have prided myself on being very self sufficient and I do not like to ask nor do I think I need help. For some reason I have been through alot emotionally and physically after the birth of this baby. I hope the worst is over and I can finally settle into a routine, of course by the time that happens it will be time to go back to work, UGH.

Welcome Nixon!

Nixon is finally here! He was born on July 21 and weighed 8 lbs 7 oz, and is 21 in. Labor went really well and I really liked the hospital and staff that we delivered at. Nixon is very healthy and happy. I couldn't have asked for better.
Wow, 4 kids really changes things. I didn't really think the second or the third changed things too much, but 4, definately. Livy and Hillie can't keep their hands off him. I had to put up a child gate to my room so that they would give Nixon and myself some space. I have already had a meltdown and am hoping that it will get better.
Now I have to focus on getting my body back in shape... maybe next week.

Micah and I decided since the baby is coming soon, and Hillie's birthday was on sunday, that we would take the girls out for a fun filled day on Saturday. We went to the Living Aquarium first, the girls pet sting rays, and saw jelly fish. Then later we went to the movie, UP in 3D, and then ended up at McDonalds for dinner. It was something we have never really done and probably won't do for a long time. We were glad we did it, the girls had so much fun.
Yesterday we had Phil and Brecken and their kids over along with my sister Ilene for cake and ice cream. I have been so forgetful lately, that it didn't even dawn on me to do cake or even get her a present until Sat. evening. I can't believe she is two years old now. Time flies by, that is for sure. Yesterday We took the family along with Micah's Sister and her Family, and Micah's brother and his family to the open house at the Oquirrh Mtn Temple. It was really neat to see. It is a bit smaller than most temples, but definately just as beautiful. Micah and I feel a special connection already with this temple, because, we have had the opportunity to go and work there assisting in the open house festivities. We will also be in its district, so we can't wait to go and be patrons next month. Being apart of this experience has made me so greatful for the blessings the temple gives us. I know I would not be the kind of person I am today without its blessings and promises.

Fourth of July!

Fourth of July was great! We went up to Logan and attended the Hyrum Parade in the early afternoon. The kids got a lot of treats and the weather was really decent. I was very pleased. Later, we of course went to the Cruise-in where its all different kinds of cars parading up and down mainstreet, while people sit curbside and watch.( no pics, sorry ) Nothing really changes with either event, but I think that is why I love it so much. Its Tradition!

I am still pregnant. Getting down to the end. I have got a couple weeks left. It has really hit me this past week and I have slowed down. It is becoming difficult and exhausting to do the simplest of tasks, I am pathetic. I even have come down with either a sinus infection or ear infection. I am not sure yet, I will see my Dr. tomorrow.

Elsa, I think, has the same thing, however hers is a little worse. We took her to the Dr. on wed. thinking it was an ear infection. Dr tells us that she has some fluid in her lungs and we have to go to primary childrens for an xray to see how much fluid is actually in there. Luckily, we caught it early and she is okay. We have to give her breathing treatments with a nebulizer four to six times a day. She is such a trooper. Wearing the mask scares her a bit, but Livy is quick to sit next to her and hold her hand until it is done. It is really sweet.

It seems that we are just waiting now, I have got everthing ready to go and so time really seems to be dragging. We are very excited to finally see this little guy.

Micah and I finally got the bedroom finished. Elsa and Livy moved downstairs this weekend. I was glad to see that the furniture all fit and that the girls actually liked it. The beds are bunkbeds but since their cousin's bunkbeds are taken down, they too wanted the same.
We had all three of them in one room upstairs, but we knew that Elsa and Livy would need to go downstairs before the baby comes. Hillie is not adjusting well. She has cried herself to sleep every night she really misses having her sisters in there with her. Pretty soon she will have another roommate.
It seems that we have had to make just as many adjustments for baby #4 as we did for Elsa. the second and third baby didn't involve too many changes, but that fourth baby sure does mix it up a bit. We cannot wait. I am actually looking forward to taking my maternity leave from work. Its as close to a vacation as I can get.

I never thought that I would be one of those people who owned a minivan. Well, here it is. What's even more crazy is that I didn't think that I would be so appreciative and love it so much. We knew with baby #4 on the way, there was no way around it and so now that we finally have it, I couldn't be more happier. It is so roomy! The girls love it, they are constantly wanting to sit in different seats and Elsa has now taken it upon her self to see to it that everyone is buckled in. It's really made things easier for me.
Its fun to see Micah get excited about it, he was more reluctant than me to join the minivan club, just a couple months ago he tried to sell me on the Honda Pilot. Now he is constantly telling me how much he loves having the van.
More than anything I am greatful that we don't have to think about buying or selling another car for a very long time.

Bear Lake

Last week I took the girls up to Bear Lake where Micah's dad's employer has a time share condo up there. I took them up last monday and they stayed until friday. They had so much fun playing with their cousins and spending time with their Oma and Opa, Aunts and Uncles.
Micah started summer school and was unable to go. I think he enjoyed having some quite time at the house to study and get some much needed house stuff done.
They came home tan and exhausted. Elsa is on year-around and was off track that week. Livy was telling me how "Oma turned my brains." I didnt quite understand what she meant until after maybe the fourth time she told me I realized she had meant that "Oma trimmed my bangs." Kids really do say the darnest things.

Spring! Spring! Spring!

Its finally starting to warm up! Opa's birthday was this past weekend and We got together and celebrated by taking a hike up immigration canyon. There was still quite a bit of snow and so the 3 mile hike turned into about 50ft. The kids shoes and clothes were instantly muddy and we were missing some jackets. We turned around and went back to Brecken's house for cake and ice cream. It was fun to finally get outside and enjoy the weather.
Elsa has started soccer and scored a goal on Saturday. She really enjoys getting out there and running around.
In the Relief Society, we just finished our "Week of Women" activity. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work. I was able to get Bonnie Parkin (former General RS pres) to come and speak to our ward and another ward we invited. I was a little disapointed that we didnt have as large of a turn out as I would have liked, but it was very uplifting and spiritual. I am so amazed at the woman she is and what she has experienced in her travels. It really made me greatful that I am where I am in the world at this time.
Mother's Day was great. I woke up to Hillie climbing into our bed and kissing me on the lips (she doesn't normally do that). Elsa and Livy kept telling me "Happy Mother's day" and gave me lots of hugs and kisses. It really made me greatful for the opportunity I have had to be a mother and see my little girls grow. Some of my family (the ones who still live in UT) came over and we BBQed chicken. It was nice to relax and have fun.
Pregnancy is going slowly but good. I am now 29 weeks, 11 more to go! The girls are constantly wanting to feel the baby kick. They are so excited to meet their little brother. I still can't pull Micah down from the clouds. He is probably the most eager for the pregnancy to end.

School Daze

This week is the last week of class. I can't tell you how glad I will be when Micah is done with this semester. It has been real difficult because this class is very time consuming. I see Micah for literally 30-40 min. every day, which is barely enough time for family dinner. He works nights and so the weekends are really our only family time we have. However, with finals approaching, Weekends have been taken away now too with lots of studing at school. I try not to complain too often because I know that he is doing what he needs to do and so I try and be supportive, but its difficult.
Micah did talk with his counselor last week and he has only two more classes to graduate which he will be taking in the summer. Halelujah! However he won't be able to do the whole graduation ceremony thing until next spring 2010. After nearly 10 years he won't be a student anymore!
I am so proud of what he has accomplished. It has been a struggle at times, but we kept having to remind ourselves that it is worth the sacrifice. I don't think I could have done what he has done all these years. I know he has lost out on alot of sleep over the years and has worked really hard at his schooling, job and of course home. He definatly is SUPER DAD!
Some day in the future, we can look back at this time and laugh at how we managed it and survived for so long. As for now we are taking it day by day.

Sunday Bike Ride

It was such a nice day yesterday. We had just purchased a bike trailer and decided to take the girls out for a ride. When we put Hillie in the Trailer, she freaked out and wanted to get out. She screamed and cried for help but once Micah was moving, she seemed to enjoy it. We are still trying to get Elsa excited about riding her bike. She has been very cautious and scared and so with all of us going out, we hope it will build up her confidence and we can eventually try taking the training wheels off. We are looking forward to alot more warmer days.

Can I complain just for a little bit? I am so sick of this stinkin' weather. Just when you think its warm enough to go and send the kids outside, it snows. I was watching the weather report this morning and we are supposed to get 2 MORE storms before the end of the week. What the FREAK!

Okay, I just had to get that off my chest. I have been having conversations with people in my neighborhood and there have been a few incidents of people breaking into their cars and their houses! It scared me to death. I am debating on getting a dog. I really don't want a dog, but I am considering it now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Instacare Nightmare

So over the weekend Hillie has been battling the croup. It is a horrible cough that makes them sound like baby seals barking. It usually only is bad when they are sleeping. It started to worsen and yesterday when I came home from work it had become so bad that she was struggling to just breath. I immediatley loaded the kids in the car and we took off to Instacare. When we got there they took her back immediately and put her on a breathing treatment and followed up with a Dexmethazone shot which was suppose to open her airways and help her breath. Her oxygen levels were WAY below normal and her heart rate was WAY above normal. They wanted to observe her for a couple hours to make sure she didn't have any sort of reaction. After a couple of hours she showed no improvement and the Dr. instructed us to go up to Primary Childrens and she would probably have to stay the night. It was about 9:30 at this point and we were not looking forward to having to do this all over again at Primary's, so the Dr called ahead to tell them we were coming. Once he talked to the Dr up there, they decided to try the breathing treatment one more time. If it didn't work then they would just admit us right away. I thought that sounded like a good plan and so we did the treatment a second time. Thank Goodness, she finally showed signs of improvement. They said that we could take her home and if it worsened then to go straight to Primary's. I was relieved to see her sleep well and the weezing became less intense. She still is not 100%, but at least she can breath much better.
I do not do well seeing my babies get so sick and feeling so scared. I became quite emotional and I was glad to have Micah there. I can't think of anything more upsetting than to see your child suffer and feel so helpless.
I was so greatful for the nurses and the Dr. there at the Instacare. They were so sweet and VERY attentive to Hilie's needs and our own. I hope that now we can all get a good nights sleep.

Another Niece?!

So last Friday I get a picture text from my brother and his wife out in Pittsburgh, PA with their three girls and my sister in law, Debi, holding a newborn?! I called them immediately and come to find out that they had a BABY! No one even knew she was pregnant! They kept it a secret from both families. I couldn't beleive they did that. It was a girl and they named her Eden Jane McNeal. My knee jerk reaction was that I was upset. How could they not tell anyone! However, at this point in time, there is no need to stay upset. They had a baby! I am still waiting for a better picture so I can really see what she looks like. It is always so exciting to welcome a new memeber to the clan.

IT"S A BOY!!!!!!

If you haven't guessed it by now, We are having a little boy in July! We have kept it a secret from everyone we know until we had the ultrasound and found out what it was. Micah thought it would be more fun to hold out and surprise people with not only the pregnancy news, but also the gender.

It was so funny when we found out because Micah immediatly shouted, YES! and then he broke into tears. I know he has been wanting this so bad, not that he would be upset with a girl, by any means. He is so good with girls. However, he can now look forward to Priestood meetings, father and son outings with scouts, sports and all that other stuff that fathers and sons do together.
Now comes the challenging part, we have to get a mini van. Deciding on how much to spend and what kind has been a struggle. We are trying to sell our Toyota Corrolla first, so that we can use that money to put down, but as soon as people find out the mileage, they aren't interested. UGH! We have a few months before we really have to concern ourselves, but we are really anxious to upgrade sooner that later. There will be quite a bit of changes with this little guy, but we look forward to them all. We are truly blessed in our lives and are greatful every day.

Celebrity Sighting

Crazy thing happened to me at work the other day....

As most of you know, I work at a dental office. The other day I noticed that Ray Liotta's name was on our schedule. I asked the other receptionists if that was Ray Liotta, the actor. Debbie (co-worker) said that he was an actor, but she and everyone else at the office had no idea who he was. I was surprised.
I brought my camera to so that I could get a picture, but my boss said that because of privacy laws (HIPPA) I couldn't do it. I was so bummed (that's why I just had to find a photo and post it).
When he came in, he looked awful, he is not very good looking, as you may already see. He was really friendly and kept questioning all of us on how many kids we have and how many of us are mormon.
His agent suggested to us that we mention to him that we love his movies and that we love him. I thought that was kind of funny, but after meeting him and talking with him, I realized that he probably likes the attention because he is kind of lonely.
It made for quite a fun and exciting day of work.

My Brother Josh and his family came over from Reno Nevada this weekend to come and see Ian and Ray's baby (Camry). It was so much fun to see all the nieces playing with each other. We went to the Madarin Garden (best Chinese food) and had a really great time. It was nice to catch up with them and spend time with their little girl, Grace and see Camry again.

We had an "imprompt to" birthday party for Elsa. I have been so scatter brained that her birthday snuck up on me ( its on Feb 2 )and I didn't prepare as well as I should have. Didn't really make a difference to Elsa, she just wanted her cousins there and she had a blast. Micah got her a Transformer cake and she got some great gifts. She is already trying to plan her 7th birthday.
Earlier, my mother in law, Connie and my sister in laws, Katie and Brecken went out for a "girls afternoon" ( I can't believe I didn't bring my camera) it was so much fun, we went shopping at IKEA, did lunch and, of course, saw a great "Chick Flick"-"Bride Wars". It was nice to get out for a few hours and spend some time with the girls.

Livy and her purple blanket, finally reunited!

As most of you may know, we have been potty training Livy since May of last year. We have been successful with the pee pee, but not once, has she gone poop in the potty. Micah and I have tried everything from bribing toys, treats, and parties to spankings, cold showers, taking away prize possessions and not letting her have any treats. Months and months of this and NO SUCCESS! The past few weeks she even has been regressing to the point where she wouldn't go pee pee on the potty at all. We were at our wits end and decided not to try anymore!! She has been in and out of pull ups and diapers for months now. Every time I would look for guidance from our Pediatrician or the internet, the overall sensus was to just leave it alone and not be mad when she poops or pees in her pants.
I decided the other day to have a "sit down" with her and tell her that "I want you to pee and poop on potty, but if you don't, I promise that dad and I WILL NOT get mad anymore." I reasured her that we love her and that its okay, we won't get mad anymore. I think she was really happy to hear that and since then has gone back to peeing on the potty. Last night I again pulled her aside and showed her a princess activity kit that I had for her, (I thought I would give bribery one last shot) I told her that if she pooped in the potty she could have it.
This morning while I was on the treadmill, she went potty and kept calling for me, when I went in the bathroom she shouted, "I POOPED!" You might as well told me that I won the lottery. I couldn't be more happy. I shouted and cheered and made the biggest fool of myself, but I didn't care. Then of course, she asked me for the princess toy, which I gave to her along with her purple blanket,(which was one of the prize possessions we took from her in the beginning) and a couple of cookies. She had finally done it. I have rolled out the red carpet all day and I am still making a big deal about it. I only hope that she does it again. I will keep you posted.

Inaugaration Day

With all that was going on today, I thought it was best if I write down a few of my thoughts. It was quite amazing today to view the whole inaugaration ( did I spell it right?) I was impressed to see so many people with such hope and admiration for Barack. He is just a man, right? My thoughts were that this guy has a lot to live up to. I couldn't believe the expectations that people have given him. Don't get me wrong, I really understand and appreciate the magnitude of such an event, but it seems that people are getting carried away and he hasn't (in my eyes) proved that he has earned it yet. I too am hopeful that things will improve and I have enjoyed watching people really stepping up and wanting to serve and make this country better. I hope people carry through with their intentions.

Elsa watched a little bit of the inaugaration today at school on TV and when she came home, we talked about why it was such an important event. She doesn't really understand that alot of it has to do with the fact that he is African American. Which I really appreciate about her and her age. She doesn't see color. I hope that this new President will really keep that hope in all americans and inspire them to change for the better.

I didn't mean to get on a soap box today, but this is the closest I get to personal journaling. I am greatful for this country and the sacrifices that have been made for my family and I today.

After a LONG labor and eventual C-section. My niece, Camry Beth McNeal was born. Micah and I drove up to Logan to see this cutie, and it was worth it. She weighted in at 8 lbs 11 oz! She is a CHUNK. It never gets old or mundane. Newborns are the sweetest thing. It was surreal to see my baby brother Ian step into the dad role so effortlessly. I still think of him as this little boy that I would dress up and make him do stuff for me. We are all growing up.

Livy's first day in Primary!

I was pleasantly surpirsed when the Bishop called me into his office this last weekend to tell me that I have been released from Gospel Doctrine. Whew. That was a real challenging calling that I know I learned alot from. Little did I know that it was actually to prepare me for my new calling, first counselor of the Relief Society Pres. What! I couldn't beleive it. I have been a little shell shocked, but after talking with a few of the previous pres. members, I don't think it will be as scary as I think it will be. We will see. This ward certainly won't let me sit on the sidelines.
We had a bunch of friends over for the Utes game on Friday night. It was alot of fun. I am not a football fan, so the extra company certainly helped. I hate to say it, but I was surprised that we won. Go UTES!
Micah starts a new semester next week and I start a new work schedule. It will be tough, but we will just have to make due and just keep in mind that it won't be much longer, right?

Christmas is over. We had a good Holiday. The girls were so anxious for Santa. Christmas Eve Micah threatened Livy that if she didn't behave then the Elves would report to Santa and he wouldn't come. So Micah had Livy appologize to the Elves, out loud. She shouted, "I am sorry elves!" and then she came in and told me that she appologized. The storm hit us in West Jordan pretty hard Christmas morning. Our power was out till about 10:00 am. We have our tree set up downstairs and so it doesn't get alot of natural light from outside, and we weren't quite prepared with flashlights or candles, so we were opening presents in the dark. Micah had given me a couple of shirts and I couldn't quite tell what colors they were because it was so dark.
We then had to drive up to Logan and visit families. We came back the next day to find that we were snowed out of our driveway. A neighbor friend came with his four-wheeler and attached plow to help us get into the house. I can't believe how much snow we got. I love it. If it is going to be cold then let it be snowy. It at least gives us something pretty to look at.

Well Christmas is officially here. It has become an annual tradition that we go to the Festival of Trees. The girls search through all the trees to find their favorite. Elsa is a superman tree and Livy's was a princess tree. My favorite (sorry, no pic) was a tree that was complete made of blown glass. lights were flickering inside the glass tree. It beautiful. Micah saw a tree totally decorated in Philladelphia Eagles that he loved the most. I also love the gingerbread village. For the first time I saw not just one but several trees that still hadn't sold. I felt bad to see those trees go unwanted. The painting that I posted was amazing to see in real life. It was huge and went for about $28,000. I could stare at it all day, the detail in it was mesmorizing. We went during the evening and it was actually better than going during the day. The girls got right in to see Santa. The girls were shocked to see that he called them by name to come and sit on their lap ( there was a worker who asked us before hand and he told Santa, but the girls didn't know that).

We set up our tree and decorated the house. Micah and I went to my work Christmas party at Spencer's. It was so good. I was pleasantly surprised when my bonus was a little bit bigger than years past. I really thought that it would be less (due to the economy).
The girls and I are just getting over the stomache flu. I don't know what could be worse when all your kids are sick including yourself. There definately wasn't a whole lot of time to sit and feel sorry for myself and lay in bed resting when I was washing out bowls and doing laundry all day long.
I have been really struggling in getting into the christmas spirit this year. I don't quite know what it is but I just have to remind myself of all the things that I have been blessed with and try not to focus on all the negative things that are going on right now. If any of you have any advice for me, please let me know. Thank you all for your friendship and I wish you a merry christmas.

Thanksgiving has come and gone. Whew! I forget how much work it is to prepare... and lets not forget the cleanup. Micah and I rotate our Thanksgivings and this year it was my family. I have 4 siblings that live out of state and none of them were able to come. It was my parents, my brother Ian and his expectant wife and Ilene. I have to admit I did a pretty good job except for the gravy. I have never been good at the gravy. All and all I would say it was quite successful.

I planned to hit the stores Black Friday, but after such a long day of cooking and cleaning I opted to stay home and sleep in.

Livy recieved some play makup for her birthday. I was able to ration her usage, but after a month or so I gave in and let her go wild.

Micah's dad made the girls their very own cardboard car. They wouldn't get out of it. It was so cute. We had to park it in the garage. It doesn't hold up well to the outdoor elements

Livy just got back from visiting the dentist for the first time. She did really well. Now if I could just get her to poop in the potty. Ugh.

I am so glad the election is over. This was the first time that I actually followed the election, debates and all. And I am embarrassed to say this but I never got around to registering and so I didn't vote. Of, course I never really made up my mind about either canidate. I just have a hard time believing or trusting what they said and so I just didn't feel comfortable voting for either of them. I know, I know, there were more things to vote for than just the presidency, I suck.

Micah took Elsa to a SL Real game last weekend. It was a playoff game and they both really had fun. I was glad to see her get some one on one time with her dad.

I am hosting Thanksgiving this year so I have been already planning my menu and lists. I am really looking forward to it. I like the idea of staying here in my home. It should be really nice.

What a great Halloween! I was a "room mom" for Elsa's class yesterday and so I dressed as a witch. I did a demonstration/story of a witche's brew, it was so fun. I found these awsome eyelashes to wear with my costume and the kids loved it.

I ended up staying in my witch costume when I went to work. During the evening Micah's sister, Brecken, her husband Phil and their kids came over for pizza and Trick or Treating. I love my neighborhood. There are so many young families that everyone is out and there are kids swarming the streets. The weather was great also. It seems as the older my girls get, the funner it becomes. We couldn't keep up with Elsa, she was so excited to go from House to House.

It was Livy's 3rd Birthday on the 24th. So she got dressed up in her princess outfit and we went out. She is such a girl! We had to take her to the pediatrician and it was so great to see the kind of response we got from the other patients as well as the nurses and Drs. She even had on matching high heels. And of course her cake had to be adorned with all the disney princesses, what else?

Micah and I took the girls up to Logan on Saturday and along with our nieces and nephews, Micah's mom and our sister in law, Katie, We had a great time. The kids got so excited to see all the different scenes. It really made me miss living up in Logan. I forget how quiet and beautiful it really is.

After the Pumpkin walk, we went to Oma and Opa's House for some pumpkin carving and lots of eating. It was so much fun. Elsa also had her primary program on Sunday. She was very nervous to get up and do her part, but I think it made her feel better seeing all the children doing it also. I hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you soon.

It has been one crazy week. We finally painted our room and got carpet this past week. It took us all weekend to paint, and we had to rip out the old carpet. Disgusting! But it looks great and I love the smell of fresh paint and new carpet. So I guess it was worth it.
We also sold the truck (alot sooner than we had thought) and bought a new car. I am glad that we have two gas effecient vehicles although I am not glad that it is a tight squeeze for us all. Oh well, what can you do?
I am having to pull double duty in Sunday School these past couple weeks and will be teaching Gospel Doctrine two weeks in a row. It is so time consuming. Its like I am in school again and I am having to give a report or talk, with only less than a week to prepare. My nerves are starting to disapate a little bit though and I am getting a little more comfortable standing up there and teaching, but lets face it, I still would rather be somewhere else. It has been a great learning experience for me and has strengthened my testimony greatly, so I shouldn't complain.
Girls are good, I have been trying to get a little more social with the ward members (for Elsas sake) and scheduling 1-3 playdates a week. She has become very comfortable in front of the TV and computer and so Micah and I decided that playing soccer once a week wasn't enough. She is enjoying the friendships.
We are looking forward to Halloween and will go up to Logan next week and go to the pumpkin walk in North Logan and head over to the Wybrows house to carve our pumpkins and eat home made donuts. I love the Holidays.

I just bathed and put the girls to bed and thought that I would attempt to mess around more with my blog site and get some music on here. I hope you like it.

I have been thinking about learning a new skill and with the help of Pres. Uchtdorf's talk at womens conference, he really motivated me. I decided to try sewing. Micah bought me a sewing machine for christmas last year, but other than a few valances for my house and some heming of pants, I have not attempted anything too big until this past week. I made dresses for the girls. I finished Elsa's and Livy's and need a break before I work on Hillie's. It was quite a feat. I am sure when you look at the photos you might think different (they are really plain) but for me it was big. I also tried out my gardening skills this past summer and all that I got were these great pumpkins. Which we will probably carve for Halloween. I am become so domestic. It is really strange for me. But I am really proud of myself.

Elsa has really been interested in photography lately and with the Reflections contest coming up I thought it would be a great opportunity for her to take some photos. We went in the back yard and just started taking pictures. The one picture she was the most excited about taking and the one that we ended up using was the Fire pit. I matted the photo and turned it into the teacher last week. She was so impressed with Elsa that she had her show it to the class later that day.

This week Micah and I will be celebrating our 9th anniversary. Micah and I have made it a tradition for the past few years that we go to Tepenyaki. So I am really looking forward to having a night out together. As some of you may know that is far and few between.

Work is really slowing down. I am so tired of everyone talking about the economy. It stresses me out to hear it all the time. Micah and I had a talk today and he said that he wants to sell the pickup. I am pretty excited about it seeing how it costs us so much to drive. Elsa is loosing her first tooth. Livy still won't poop in the potty. Hillie is definately going through some seperation anxiety.
